Villager Rescued After Accidentally Crossing Border, Thanks Authorities
A villager from Ruvvi village in Mudhol mandal of Nirmal district, Rathod Namdev, recently faced a troubling experience while working abroad. Namdev had gone to Kuwait, a Gulf country, for employment and was herding camels in the desert when he accidentally crossed the border into Saudi Arabia. This unexpected incident led to serious difficulties for him.
Thanks to the efforts of the District Collector and the administration, Namdev was safely brought back home. On Monday, Namdev, along with his family, expressed gratitude to the Collector and district officials for their timely help.
Speaking about his ordeal, Namdev thanked the Collector for acting swiftly after learning about his situation through social media. He also requested support in finding employment so he could sustain his family.
The District Collector shared his happiness over Namdev’s safe return. He explained that as soon as Namdev’s trouble was reported, he alerted the Union Ministry of External Affairs and the state government. Both responded promptly, ensuring Namdev received the necessary assistance to return home.
The Collector assured that steps would be taken to help Namdev find self-employment. He also expressed his gratitude to the Union Ministry of External Affairs, the state government, and the district administration for their cooperation in resolving the issue.
Additionally, the Collector advised people planning to work in Gulf countries to avoid unauthorized agents who could mislead or exploit them. He emphasized the importance of using government-recognized agents for overseas employment.
The event was attended by Additional Collectors Faizan Ahmed and Kishore Kumar, Pravasi Mitra Labor Union President Swadesh Pariki Pandu, district officials, and staff members, who all supported the initiative to bring Namdev back safely.
