Collector Emphasizes Accurate Field Verification for Welfare Schemes in Gadwal
District Collector B.M. Santhosh has directed officials to gather detailed information through thorough field verification to identify beneficiaries for two major government welfare schemes: Rythu Bharosa and ration cards.
On Saturday, the Collector visited the Ieeja Tahsildar’s office to review the ongoing field verification process. His focus was on ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach eligible beneficiaries. During his visit, he examined the criteria for identifying beneficiaries and the methods used for verification. He also checked whether the information collected was being properly recorded in official registers.
The Collector stressed the importance of speeding up the verification process across all villages and gram panchayats in each mandal. He directed officials to strictly follow government guidelines and cross-check data with Aadhaar cards, public administrative systems, and socio-economic surveys to ensure accuracy.
For the Rythu Bharosa scheme, the Collector instructed officials to carefully inspect land details, including conversion records, acquisition status, layout approvals, and non-agricultural land surveys. He recommended using tools like the Dharani portal, Google Maps, and other digital platforms for verification. He emphasized that Pattadar passbooks, which are digitally signed, must be checked to confirm whether the land is being used for cultivating crops. Additionally, non-agricultural lands utilized for commercial purposes should be identified and recorded.
To avoid errors, officials were asked to maintain systematic registers for all collected data. The Collector reiterated that Rythu Bharosa benefits should only apply to agricultural lands and directed surveys of specific land parcels in Ieeja mandal, including survey numbers 913, 930, 518, and unused lands near Vaddepalli.
In an unannounced visit to the Panchayat Office in Kishtapuram village, the Collector reviewed the process for identifying families eligible for new ration cards. He advised officials to verify existing ration cards and update or remove family member details as needed. Complete details of applicants’ family members should be collected to ensure accurate inclusion or deletion in the ration card database.
The Collector emphasized that the field verification process must be expedited while maintaining precision to avoid errors or confusion. He encouraged officials to consult higher authorities if they had doubts about beneficiary lists or processes.
The review meeting was attended by Tahsildars Jyothi and Prabhakar, MPDO Venkatayya, District Panchayat Officer Shyam Sunder, Civil Supplies Officer Swami Kumar, Revenue Inspectors, AEOs, Panchayat Secretaries, and other concerned officials.
