Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, expressed concerns about the lack of proper educational facilities in many schools, despite significant financial investments. He emphasized that this issue creates challenges for students, especially girls.
The minister urged NGOs, organizations, and government bodies to come forward and help improve the conditions of government schools. On Monday, he distributed dual desks and toilet cleaning machines to government schools in the Khairatabad Jubilee Hills Assembly, under the Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency.
Speaking about the initiative, Kishan Reddy said the program focuses on improving facilities in government schools, including constructing toilets, implementing cleaning measures, and providing furniture. He mentioned that similar initiatives had been successfully conducted in the past.
This particular event took place at the Film Nagar Government School in the Khairatabad Assembly. The minister assured the District Education Officer (DEO) that he would personally bear the costs of constructing toilets, no matter the expense.
He stressed the importance of maintaining clean classrooms for good health and quality education. Additionally, he encouraged students to respect their teachers, study hard, and make their schools proud.
