Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has raised concerns about the Union government’s plan to conduct a delimitation exercise for Lok Sabha seats in 2026. He urged the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to develop a clear strategy to ensure that Southern States receive fair representation and maximum seats in the process.

Speaking at a special meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) held in Belagavi, Karnataka, Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for the party’s leadership to handle the issue carefully. He warned that the delimitation exercise could lead to injustice for Southern States if not addressed strategically.

He encouraged party members to advocate for including the Caste Census in the Union government’s upcoming Census exercise, scheduled for 2025.
