CM Revanth Reddy Praises Youth Congress, Criticizes KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday highlighted the role of the Youth Congress in shaping top political leaders. He mentioned that leaders like Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and BRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) started their political journey from the Youth Congress.

Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, where Jakkidi Shiva Charan Reddy took charge as the chief of the Youth Congress, Revanth Reddy recalled that both Naidu and KCR were actively involved in the Youth Congress when V Hanumantha Rao was the president. He also noted that Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka emerged from the same platform. He stressed that the Youth Congress is the first step in politics and advised party workers to continue fighting for public issues, regardless of whether they receive positions or not.

The Chief Minister spoke about the initiatives taken by his government. He mentioned that free bus travel for women has been introduced and houses are being built for the poor. He accused former CM KCR of deceiving people with false promises of double-bedroom houses. He stated that the Congress government was elected because people felt betrayed by KCR. Revanth Reddy assured that the Youth Congress would be given priority in local bodies, and posts would only be given to those who genuinely work for the party, not to those who only put up banners and posters.

Revanth Reddy further highlighted his government’s achievements, such as waiving off loans for Telangana farmers, a step he claimed no other government in the country had taken. He added that Rs 12,000 is being given to landless people and that 55,000 job vacancies have been filled. He urged Youth Congress leaders to spread awareness about the government’s welfare programs. He dismissed the idea that elections can be won with money, saying that public support is more important, and if money was enough, KCR would have won 100 seats.

Taking a dig at KCR, Revanth Reddy mocked his recent statements, saying that if KCR wanted to “hit hard,” he should target his own family members, including KTR, Kavitha, and Harish Rao. He accused the Kalvakuntla family of corruption and said that people had rejected them because of it. He also stated that Telangana is the only state to have conducted a caste census and dismissed KCR’s earlier survey results as fake. Concluding his speech, he declared that KCR has no right to live in Telangana and criticized the BRS party for allegedly sheltering “gamblers.”
