Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently met with the state Governor, Jishnu Dev Varma, at the Raj Bhavan. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the findings of the state’s large-scale survey covering social, economic, employment, political, and caste-related issues. The Chief Minister gave a detailed explanation of the survey process, which had been carried out by the Telangana government.
During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy also made a request to the Governor. He asked her to advocate with the central government for the inclusion of caste-related data in the 2025 national census. He highlighted that Telangana’s caste-based survey could be a model for the whole country.
Several important figures attended the meeting, including Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Members of Parliament Porika Balaram Naik and Chama Kiran Kumar Reddy, and advisors V. Narender Reddy and Shabbir Ali. Dairy Development Corporation Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy was also present.
Political analysts believe this meeting could be a key moment in bringing national attention to Telangana’s caste survey. They see it as an important step toward more inclusive data collection and policy-making in the future.
