Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to be extra cautious during the registration process for Family Digital Cards. He emphasized that no mistakes should happen when adding family members to the system.

In a meeting with senior officials, including ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Konda Surekha, along with Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the digital card pilot project. He asked for a detailed report that covers both the successes and challenges of the project.

Revanth Reddy also mentioned that any problems found during the pilot project should be fixed before the program is fully launched. To ensure accuracy, he proposed selecting one urban and one rural area from each of the 119 Assembly constituencies for field inspections, totaling 238 regions.

The Chief Minister further suggested that families could choose to have their photos taken during the pilot phase, but it should remain optional. The pilot project is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 7 in the selected areas.

Officials also shared that data from various government programs like ration cards, pensions, self-help groups, Rythu Bharosa, loan waivers, insurance schemes, Aarogyasri, and Kanti Velugu is already being used to identify families. The pilot project will verify this data, update family records by adding new members, and remove those who have passed away.
