CM Revanth Reddy makes fine rice scheme permanent, criticises KCR's rule

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the fine rice scheme will be made permanent. He said that no government in the future would dare to cancel it. Speaking at a public event, he criticized former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for not starting the scheme during his 10 years in power.

Revanth Reddy also commented on past irrigation projects. He said that if even one kilometer of the SLBC (Srisailam Left Bank Canal) was built each year, the project would have been finished by now.

He also criticized the Kaleshwaram project. He claimed that despite spending ₹1 lakh crore on it, the project broke down in just three years.

Mocking the failure, he joked that it should be called “Kuleshwaram” instead of “Kaleshwaram.” He stressed that big projects like this must have proper accountability.
