Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep sadness over the death of Sitaram Yechury, a well-known national leader and the General Secretary of the CPM (Communist Party of India-Marxist). The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to Yechury’s grieving family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
In a message, Revanth Reddy described Yechury as a fighter and an inspiring figure. He stated that Yechury’s passing is a major loss to Indian politics.
The Chief Minister also recalled that Yechury had been active in politics since his student days and remained involved in national politics for more than 40 years. He highlighted Yechury’s roles as a member of the Rajya Sabha, a politburo member of the CPM, an economist, and a social worker. Reddy emphasized that Yechury was a respected figure known throughout the country.
