Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the poorest of the poor will be given top priority in the allocation of Indiramma houses. The selection process will follow a specific order of preference: physically challenged individuals, agricultural laborers, landless people, and sanitation workers.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the Indiramma Houses scheme at his residence on Friday. He directed officials to ensure that those with their own land would be prioritized in the first phase. Village secretaries and mandal-level officials will be held accountable for implementing this process using available technology. Additionally, officials were instructed to ensure the smooth functioning of the Indiramma Housing mobile app, so beneficiaries do not face any difficulties at any stage.

Revanth Reddy also issued a stern warning to officials, emphasizing that no errors should occur at the department level. He suggested introducing a special quota for tribal communities and Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) under the scheme. Furthermore, the Chief Minister clarified that beneficiaries would have the freedom to add extra rooms to their allotted houses if they wish.

To strengthen the implementation of the scheme, the Chief Minister urged senior officials to improve the Housing Department by appointing the necessary officers and staff. This step is aimed at ensuring the effective execution of the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
