Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the importance of the Alai Balai festival as a way to promote Telangana’s rich culture and spread the message of unity. Speaking at the Alai Balai event held at Nampally Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad, he emphasized how the festival played a key role in bringing people together during the Telangana movement.

The Chief Minister explained that Alai Balai contributed to the creation of the political Joint Action Committee (JAC), which helped involve people in the Sakala Janula Samme, a major protest during Telangana’s fight for statehood. He noted that the festival goes beyond politics, uniting leaders from different parties to celebrate the state’s cultural heritage.
