CM Revanth celebrates a year of remarkable achievements

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has successfully completed one year in office, overcoming challenges and fulfilling many promises made during the elections. In addition to implementing the six guarantees given to the people, the government has introduced several initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the underprivileged and advancing the development of Telangana.

Despite financial challenges, the Chief Minister managed to maintain fiscal discipline. He carefully balanced repaying debts while ensuring funds were available for welfare schemes. Revanth Reddy, who took office on December 7 last year, has been actively working on innovative programs, holding regular review meetings to monitor progress. Beyond the six guarantees, the government launched 160 additional schemes and initiatives. These include timely payment of government employees’ salaries, accident insurance for Singareni workers, recruitment of over 50,000 government jobs, metro rail expansion, and the establishment of Young India universities for sports and skills.

An official statement highlighted the launch of these 160 innovative programs, all focused on public welfare and development. The government has emphasized the comprehensive growth of Telangana across all sectors and prioritized the well-being of all sections of society.

One of the government’s significant achievements has been its vision to position Telangana as the “Future State” and Hyderabad as the “Future City” on the global map. This vision has started bearing fruit, with increased investments flowing into the state and rising employment opportunities. Within the first year, 55,143 government job appointments were made, significantly reducing the unemployment rate. A national survey by the Central Statistics Department revealed that Telangana’s unemployment rate dropped from 22.9 percent (July–September last year) to 18.1 percent (July–September this year).

Telangana has also excelled in agriculture, recording the highest paddy production in the country this monsoon, with 153 lakh tonnes harvested. Furthermore, the state’s comprehensive household survey gained nationwide attention. The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) praised Telangana’s role in India’s development, noting that the state leads in GSDP growth. According to estimates, Telangana’s GSDP is expected to reach approximately ₹15.52 lakh crore in the current financial year.

Through these efforts, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s government has made significant strides in its first year, setting the stage for further progress in Telangana.
