Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Brahmakumaris are guiding the Telangana government in its efforts to make the state drug-free. He expressed strong support for the campaign initiated by the Brahmakumaris to eliminate drug use in Telangana.

The Chief Minister assured that the state government would follow the Brahmakumaris’ example and take all necessary steps to achieve a drug-free Telangana. Speaking at the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Brahmakumaris at Shanti Sarovar, he mentioned that the government had already set up special Narcotics teams to tackle the issue.

Reddy emphasized that soon, people would be so cautious that they would hesitate even to mention drugs. He reiterated that the government’s priority is the welfare of the people. Additionally, he highlighted the government’s commitment to farmers by mentioning that Rs 31,000 crore in loans had been waived off in just eight months.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the government’s initiatives to build a skilled workforce. He mentioned the establishment of a Skills University aimed at equipping the youth with the necessary skills. Furthermore, he shared that the government is working on developing a Future City in Mucherla.

In response to a request from the Brahmakumaris, Reddy assured that the government would renew the lease of Shanti Sarovar at Gachibowli. He added that Telangana is proud to have a Shanti Sarovar, second only to the one in Mount Abu.
