Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will attend a meeting in Chennai on March 22, organized by Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. The meeting is about the delimitation of constituencies, and leaders from various parties will come together to oppose the Central government’s plans. A delegation from the DMK invited Revanth Reddy to join the meeting to highlight the injustice being done to South India.

Revanth Reddy stated that an action plan is being prepared to counter what he called a conspiracy by the Central government. He believes that the delimitation process is not just about adjusting constituencies but an attempt to reduce the importance of the southern states.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, in a letter, pointed out that delimitation should only happen after the next national census, which is scheduled for after 2026. However, the Central government has already started the process before the census, which has raised concerns among southern leaders.

After meeting with the DMK delegation, Revanth Reddy spoke to the media and warned that the southern states would not tolerate any attempts to diminish their role. He accused the BJP-led Central government of trying to weaken the South because the party does not have much support in the region. He also said that the Congress party has already decided to fight against these moves by the Centre.

Revanth Reddy mentioned that he would attend the Chennai meeting with the approval of the Congress high command. He also announced that an all-party meeting would be held in Telangana to discuss the delimitation issue. He instructed Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and former minister K Jana Reddy to invite leaders from all parties, including BJP state president and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy.

The Chief Minister urged Kishan Reddy to attend the meeting and convey the concerns raised to the Union Cabinet. Since Kishan Reddy is from Telangana, Revanth Reddy emphasized that he has a responsibility to protect the state’s interests.
