CM Revanth Reddy Lays Foundation for Chakali Ilamma University

On Saturday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation for Chakali Ilamma University at Koti in Hyderabad. The event marked International Women’s Day. The existing Women’s College will be upgraded to a university at a cost of ₹500 crore.

Speaking to girl students, the Chief Minister assured government support to develop the university into a top-class institution with international standards. He emphasized that this would help female students become future leaders. Naming the university after Veeranari Chakali Ilamma, he said, was a great tribute to Telangana. He encouraged students to compete with international universities and fulfill former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s dream of excellence.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted that the government is committed to providing 33% reservation for women in elections. He hoped that students from the university would take advantage of this opportunity and step into leadership roles. He stressed that women have strong leadership qualities and should serve as role models in society.

The Chief Minister urged students to dream beyond traditional roles and aim for bigger achievements. He assured that the state government is supporting women to become future entrepreneurs. Plans are being made to help women-led businesses compete with major companies like Adani and Ambani.

He instructed officials to complete the new university building within two and a half years and promised that there would be no shortage of funds for the project. Finally, he encouraged students to excel in their studies and bring pride to Telangana and the country.
