KTR Challenges CM Revanth Reddy to Resign and Face Elections

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to resign from his MLA seat and contest fresh elections. He even vowed to retire from politics if Revanth Reddy could retain his seat in the Kodangal Assembly constituency.

Speaking at the BRS-led Rythu Maha Dharna in Kosgi mandal, KTR accused the Chief Minister of turning Kodangal into a battlefield for his associates, including the Anumula brothers, Adani, and his son-in-law. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was fabricating false cases against farmers in Lagacharla to seize valuable land and hand it over to his close allies.

KTR further claimed that Revanth Reddy wanted to take over the lands in Lagacharla as a dowry gift for his son-in-law. He challenged the Chief Minister to resign and contest against BRS leader Patnam Narender Reddy, allowing the people of Kodangal to decide the winner. He even declared that if Narender Reddy won by fewer than 50,000 votes, he would retire from politics.

Drawing a comparison to the Kurukshetra war from the Mahabharata, KTR said that the people of Kodangal, including women, were rising against Revanth Reddy’s alleged land-grabbing activities. He accused the Chief Minister of ignoring farmers, women, and youth while focusing only on benefiting his close circle. He also highlighted how Lambada women, who traditionally do not step out of their homes, were forced to go to Delhi to seek justice due to Revanth Reddy’s actions.

KTR further alleged that farmers were being offered Rs 10 lakh per acre for land actually worth Rs 60-70 lakh. He claimed that those who resisted were being falsely implicated in legal cases.
