During the meeting, Revanth Reddy will finalize a strategy to win three MLC seats. He will assign responsibilities to MLAs to gather support from different sections of voters. The CM, along with state AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi and TPCC president B Maheshkumar Goud, will also meet with MLAs who are reportedly unhappy.

The CM will hold four separate meetings with different groups of MLAs, each lasting an hour. The schedule is as follows:
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: MLAs from Adilabad, Khammam, and Nizamabad
4:15 PM – 5:15 PM: MLAs from Karimnagar and Warangal
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: MLAs from Nalgonda, Hyderabad, and Medak
6:45 PM – 7:45 PM: MLAs from Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar

With the BRS opting out of the MLC elections, the Congress will face a direct contest against the BJP, which has already announced its candidates.

Elections will be held for Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ constituency and the Teachers’ constituencies for Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda. The Congress currently holds the Graduates’ constituency, while Independent candidates represent the Teachers’ constituencies.

The Congress has nominated V Narender Reddy for the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ constituency. This seat is currently held by senior Congress leader and former minister T Jeevan Reddy.

Meanwhile, internal tensions have arisen within the party. Some Congress MLAs, mainly from Warangal, Nalgonda, and Mahbubnagar, recently held a meeting without informing senior leaders. They were reportedly frustrated over a minister’s failure to clear pending bills and delays in fund releases.

The meeting was hosted by Jadcharla MLA Anirudh Reddy and attended by MLAs Nayini Rajender Reddy, Bhoopathi Reddy, Yennam Srinivas Reddy, Murali Nayak, K Rajesh Reddy, Sanjeev Reddy, Donthi Madhav Reddy, and Beerla Ilaiah. As news of this meeting spread, party leaders decided to intervene and address the issue.

On February 2, the Chief Minister discussed the situation with ministers during a meeting at the Command-and-Control office in Banjara Hills. Now, during Thursday’s meetings, Revanth Reddy will aim to address these concerns while ensuring the party remains united ahead of the crucial elections.
