BRS leaders in Hyderabad accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of failing to secure permission for eight medical colleges in the state. The leaders, including Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, Errolla Srinivas, K Vasudeva Reddy, and Lakshman Rao, held a press conference at Telangana Bhavan to address the issue.
Sudarshan Reddy mentioned that during KCR’s tenure, each medical college received Rs 300 crore in funding and necessary facilities were provided. However, due to lack of follow-up from the CM and state ministers in Delhi, the medical colleges did not receive approvals. He expressed the party’s disappointment at this situation, calling it an insult to the state. Sudarshan Reddy also criticized CM Revanth Reddy for neglecting important issues like medical college permissions while focusing on his own political agenda during his visit to Delhi.
The BRS leader accused Revanth Reddy of trying to undermine the achievements of KCR and noted that even BJP ministers at the Centre did not prioritize the approval of medical colleges. Additionally, he criticized the Congress government for its lack of commitment to the construction of the health city in Warangal. Sudarshan Reddy highlighted that due to fear of ministerial announcements, the contractor for the health city project abandoned the work.
