On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Anjanaiah Reddy, chairman of Budhha Vihar, offered flowers to the Buddha Statue at Anada Buddha Vihar in Mahendra Hills.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that special funds from the special development fund would be allocated to construct a spiritual center (dhyana mandir) and urged the management of Mahabodhi Buddha Vihar to establish a school.

During the Buddha Purnima celebrations at Buddha Vihar in Secunderabad, the CM promised to support spreading Lord Buddha’s teachings and expressed concern over increasing intolerance and jealousy in society.

He emphasized the importance of following Buddha’s message in addressing issues, stating that differences and emotions are dominating society today, and India needs to follow Buddha’s message.

Revanth Reddy highlighted that Buddha began preaching peace at the age of 29 by relinquishing power and his kingdom, with his teachings remaining alive for 2,500 years. He expressed his deep inspiration from Buddha’s teachings to approach tasks with meditation.

The Chief Minister pledged to help spread Buddha’s teachings to everyone in society, stating that both as an individual and on behalf of the government, he will provide necessary assistance and cooperation. He also emphasized that Telangana respects Buddhist monks.
