Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to take strict action against anyone causing problems for farmers during the paddy procurement process.
He emphasized the importance of using the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) if necessary to deal with traders who create trouble for farmers.
The Chief Minister issued these directives after receiving reports about difficulties faced by farmers across the state.
CM Revanth Reddy specifically asked officials to crack down on incidents of cheating, misleading, or harassing farmers during the paddy procurement.
He also advised district Collectors to ensure that the paddy procurement process runs smoothly. If any issues arise, they should inform higher authorities immediately to resolve the problems quickly.
