The Andhra Pradesh High Court has postponed the bail hearing for former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development scam case. The new hearing date is set for November 15.
The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) requested the adjournment because Naidu had filed a petition to quash the case in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court’s verdict is expected to be announced soon after Deepavali.
In another case, the AP High Court has also postponed the hearing on the appeal of the AP CID to reopen the quash petition filed by the accused in the Amaravati assigned lands scam case. The new hearing date for this case is scheduled for November 22. The High Court had already heard arguments and reserved its verdict, but the CID presented new evidence and requested the court to reopen the case.
