Hyderabad, India celebrated World History Day 2024 with the inauguration of the ‘Jai Dwarka’ campaign at the Press Club in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, Telangana. The event took place on Monday, June 24, 2024, and was attended by dignitaries and history enthusiasts.
Mr. Ravindrajith, General Secretary of ITS 6TH WOW, gave a presentation on Ancient Dwarka, highlighting evidence that suggests Dwarka was a significant capital city during ancient times. The organization advocated for the recognition of Ancient Dwarka as a National Heritage Site of India and urged the Ministry of Culture to include it in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
The ‘Jai Dwarka’ campaign was officially launched during the event, along with the unveiling of its website and the distribution of informative brochures. The campaign aims to excavate, protect, and bring to light the sunken city of Ancient Dwarka.
Prominent figures in attendance included Mr. Kaladhar Vallam, Telangana Chairman of ITS 6TH WOW, Mr. Ravindrajith, General Secretary, Ms. Shahee Khan, President, Mr. Kranthi Kumar, Joint Secretary, and India Chairman of ITS 6TH WOW. Their participation emphasized the organization’s commitment to promoting awareness of world history.
