    In Hyderabad, the POWERGRID Southern Region Transmission System-I (SRTS-I) celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with enthusiasm. The celebrations took place across its locations in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Karnataka. At the SRTS-I Headquarters in Secunderabad, the National Flag was raised by Shri Akhilesh Pathak, the Chief General Manager in charge of SRTS-I.

    During the event, Shri Akhilesh Pathak highlighted the efforts of Indian leaders who fought for freedom using principles like truth, nonviolence, and unity. He emphasized that their vision was not just about independence but also about creating a nation with justice, equality, and prosperity for all. He acknowledged the country’s progress in areas like science, technology, education, healthcare, and the economy. Shri Pathak also stressed the importance of unity in India’s diverse culture, languages, and religions, and encouraged everyone to work together for a better future.

    The celebration was attended by Shri Arun Kumar, Chief General Manager (Human Resources), Shri SMV Nanaji, Chief General Manager (Asset Management), Shri Venkata SV, Chief General Manager (Finance), and other senior officials from POWERGRID. Retired employees, current employees, and their families, including children, also participated in the event.

    As part of the Independence Day festivities, the POWERGRID Employee Welfare Association (PEWA) and Deep Sikha Mahila Samiti (DSMS) organized sports and games. Prizes were distributed to the winners, adding to the joy of the occasion.
