Hyderabad: Preventing bank robberies and thefts can be achieved by using CCTV cameras and modern technology, said Commissioner of Police (CP) Sudheer Babu, IPS. In light of recent robberies in Raiparti, Bidar, and Mangalore, CP Sudheer Babu held a coordination meeting at the Rachakonda Commissionerate Office in Neredmet. The meeting included chief officers and staff members of all banks under the Rachakonda jurisdiction. The focus was on discussing anti-crime measures, precautions, and security arrangements to ensure the safety of banks and boost public confidence.
During the meeting, CP Sudheer Babu emphasized the crucial role banks play in society. He said the banking sector is the backbone of economic survival and supports various business and commercial activities. He added that people trust banks to safeguard their hard-earned money and rely on them for financial growth. To ensure this trust, Rachakonda police have been paying special attention to banks during their daily patrolling duties, providing them with enhanced protection.
Several senior officials attended the meeting, including DCP Yadadri Rajesh Chandra, DCP LB Nagar Praveen Kumar, DCP Malkajgiri Padmaja, DCP Crime Aravind Babu, DCP Maheshwaram Sunitha Reddy, DCP SOT 1 Ramana Reddy, DCP SOT 2 Muralidhar, ACP IT Cell Narendra Goud, and ACP CCRB Ramesh. They discussed ways to strengthen security measures in banks and ensure public safety.
