Causeway at Leeja Municipality in Gadwal poses challenges for passengers

The passengers of Ieeja Municipality in Gadwal are experiencing increased traffic difficulties because the causeway built on pedda vagu was demolished without providing an alternative route. The causeway had been built between the new bus station and old bus stand many years ago. Recently, the Roads buildings department demolished the causeway without informing the public and instead created a new route through tikka veereswara temple back side on pedda vagu, which is not convenient for the passengers. As a result, the passengers are now relying on a small road behind Neelakanteswara temple, which is only twenty feet wide and has a curve near the veterinary hospital.

This situation has led to frequent traffic jams during morning and evening times. The people of Ieeja are blaming the lack of coordination between the R&B and municipal officials for these jams. The R&B officials are currently constructing a new causeway worth Rs. 7 crore rupees, but some individuals have raised concerns about technical issues in the construction of this elevated box causeway. The public is urging the R&B department to expedite the construction of a high-quality culvert to prevent further traffic jams.
