Police Conduct Vehicle and Safety Checks in Nagar Kurnool
Early on Wednesday morning, a special police operation took place in Lingala Mandal Center, Nagar Kurnool district. The operation, led by Additional SP Rameshwar, involved 70 police personnel conducting inspections in the area.
During the checks, officials inspected households and examined vehicles. They reviewed important vehicle documents such as registration papers, number plates, insurance, and driving licenses. It was discovered that 20 vehicles did not have number plates. Additional SP Rameshwar instructed SI Nagaraju to take strict action against these violations.
Additional SP Rameshwar also raised concerns about vehicles being sold at low prices without proper documents. He warned that if such vehicles are involved in accidents without valid insurance, families could suffer major financial losses. He reminded motorists to always wear helmets and carry necessary documents like the registration certificate (RC), insurance, and driving license while driving.
Achampet DSP Srinivasulu also spoke about road safety rules. He emphasized that, according to the Motor Vehicles Act, drivers must be at least 18 years old. He urged people to wear seat belts and ensure that all required documents are in order while driving.
Additionally, he mentioned frequent land disputes in Lingala Mandal. He advised local authorities to monitor these disputes closely instead of waiting for complaints to reach the police station. He suggested that complaints should be collected and resolved under the supervision of the RDO, Thasildar, and Collectorate.
Several senior officials participated in the operation, including Achampet DSP Srinivasulu, CI Ravinder, SI Nagaraju Yadav, Balmoor SI Ramadevi, Achampet SI Ramesh, and Indira. Officers also raised awareness about cybercrime, child marriages, and financial scams. Egallapenta SI Veeramallu and Shivakumar Saidulu provided guidance on these issues. In total, 70 police personnel were involved in the operation.
