Call to Voters to Register Poll Violations Using C-Whistle App

The District Election Officer in Rangareddy is urging voters to use the C-Vigil app for transparency during elections. Over 400 complaints have been received through the app, and 427 of them have been resolved within 100 minutes. Voters are encouraged to report coercion or enticement using the app, which can be downloaded from the Play Store for Android users. Nodal officers have been appointed to assist with the distribution of voter information slips, which is currently at 80%.

The Collector and District Election Officer, Rangareddy Bhrathi Hollikeri, IAS, stated that the C-Vigil app should be used by voters to report any violations or discrepancies during the election process. The app helps the Election Commission resolve issues quickly and ensures free and fair elections. Android users can download the app from the Play Store and should use the camera to capture photos or videos of incidents before reporting them in English. The names of the complainants will be kept confidential.

The distribution of voter information slips has reached almost 80%, and nodal officers have been appointed to assist with the process. This helps prevent any chaos that occurred in previous elections. Voter information slips provide voters with knowledge about their polling stations before they go to vote. Any issues with the slips can be addressed with the nodal officers.

EPIC cards are being distributed slowly, with about three lakh cards remaining. The postal department is distributing them, but efforts are being made to expedite the process before November 29. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will also distribute the cards by November 29 to ensure voters can exercise their right to vote on time.

The election commission in Rangareddy is taking measures to ensure free, fair, and convenient elections. Polling stations have been allocated a maximum of 1500 voters, and additional polling booths will be set up for any extra voters.
