Three people have been arrested in Hyderabad for running an illegal educational certificate scam. The suspects were associated with the Arjuna Academy, which sold fake degrees from more than 20 universities. They targeted people who had failed exams or dropped out of school and charged them high fees for the certificates.
During the arrest, the police seized a large number of counterfeit certificates, mobile phones, and property documents. The academy mainly focused on open schooling and distance education programs. The police have warned the public about such scams, as they can have serious legal consequences. Currently, two of the suspects are still on the run.
