Burqa-clad Women Barred from Taking Exams at Hyderabad Women's College

Tension arose at Stanley Degree College for Women in Hyderabad when the college management refused to let girls wearing burqas enter the exam hall. AIMIM MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig stated that some female students were scheduled to take the exam at the college, but the staff asked them to take off their burqas before entering the hall. When the girls refused, they were not allowed to write the exam.

After hearing about the situation, AIMIM MLC Rahmath Baig and party workers went to the college and spoke with the management. The management initially claimed that the girls were carrying materials for cheating, but later admitted that it was up to the students to decide whether to wear the burqa or remove it before entering the exam hall. The issue was eventually resolved by the management and the parents at the institution.
