Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was criticized by BRS working president KT Rama Rao for his comments about “Dorala Palana”. Rama Rao spoke at a meeting in Telangana Bhavan where Telugu Desam leader Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy joined BRS. Rama Rao expressed his gratitude for Ravula’s decision to join the party, stating that it has strengthened the party significantly.
KTR also mentioned that the rule of Telangana’s Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for two terms was beneficial. He urged people to discuss development in the villages during the Dussehra celebrations. Rama Rao questioned whether Congress had the right to speak about development, referring to the Emergency imposed by Rahul’s grandmother, Indira Gandhi, and the broken promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Furthermore, Rama Rao encouraged people to discuss the progress made in the villages, highlighting the transformation from a time when MLAs protested for electricity using lanterns to the current state with projects like Kaleshwaram, the world’s highest lift irrigation project. He credited KCR for his support of farmers and his efforts in waiving farm loans.
Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy praised Rama Rao as a visionary leader and expressed his commitment to public service and the development of Palamuru by joining BRS. He emphasized that he was not seeking any position and believed that Telangana would only progress with another term for KCR. He pledged to work tirelessly for victory.
