BRS urges CM to avoid introducing adulterated liquor in TS

BRS leader M Krishank wrote a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asking him not to allow adulterated liquor in Telangana State. On May 21, minister Jupally Krishna Rao denied proposals for new liquor companies in the state, threatening a defamation suit against anyone who reported otherwise. However, BRS party exposed that permissions were granted to Som Distilleries on May 27.

After the revelation, minister Jupally Krishna Rao admitted to the permissions but claimed it was solely the decision of the Beverages Corporation and he was unaware of it. Krishank pointed out that Som Distilleries has a history of producing adulterated liquor, defaulting on government loans, and causing losses to the state treasury.
