The Chief Minister of Hyderabad, K Chandrashekar Rao, unveiled a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar to celebrate his 132nd birth anniversary. He was joined by Prakash Ambedkar, Dr Ambedkar’s grandson. During the ceremony, KCR expressed his confidence that his party, the BRS, would win the 2024 general election and rule the country. He also spoke about the need for change in the country and said that political parties may win or lose, but the people of the country should win. KCR announced that if the BRS is voted to power, they will extend the Dalit Bandhu scheme to 25 lakh families in the country.
KCR also talked about the importance of Dr Ambedkar’s ideology and how it is still relevant today. He called upon the people’s representatives and officials to understand Dr Ambedkar’s ideology and work towards fulfilling his aspirations. KCR said that the new state secretariat building was named after Dr Ambedkar and the giant statue and martyrs memorial, which were located in the same premises, are meant to inspire officials, common people and leaders who visit the secretariat and inspire them to perform their duties well.
