BRS needs to wake up from its slumber

In Warangal, the BRS party has not yet chosen a nominee for the Lok Sabha constituency, causing concern among its second-rung leaders. This delay is leading to party members being lured away by Congress and BJP. The loss of these leaders could impact the party’s ability to connect with voters and manage elections effectively.

According to BRS leaders, the party has been losing members since their election defeat. It is challenging to bring back these second-rung leaders once they join other parties. The party is likely to face more challenges until a candidate is finalized and election campaigning begins.

Second-rung leaders are crucial for connecting with voters and managing elections effectively. The BRS leadership needs to act quickly to prevent further defections and ensure a strong campaign strategy. The chosen candidate will also need time to coordinate with leaders from seven Assembly segments.

Currently, Swapna, wife of former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, is a strong contender for the BRS ticket. Other potential candidates include educationist Jannu Paramjyothy, and former corporators Boda Dinna and Jorika Ramesh. Speculation suggests that former MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah may also be considered, despite leaving the party after the Assembly polls.
