Late BRS party MLA Lasya Nandita’s sister, Nivedita, announced that she will contest in the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency by-election. She made this announcement after meeting with party workers and fans.
Nivedita shared that she decided to run for office in response to the requests of party members and residents of the cantonment area. She expressed hope that the people of the cantonment would support her, just like they did for her father Sayanna and late sister Nandita. Nivedita mentioned plans to reveal future activities with BRS party chief KCR soon.
The Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita passed away in a car accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad on February 23. As a result, the Election Commission (EC) will hold a by-election for the Cantonment Assembly constituency concurrently with the Lok Sabha elections. With Nivedita stepping up to run in the by-election, it appears likely that the BRS party will nominate her as their candidate.
