BRS Leader Alleges Fake Investment Claims by Congress Government

In Hyderabad, BRS leader KP Vivekanand accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of making false claims about a Rs 40,000 crore investment last year. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Vivekanand stated that the actual investment was only Rs 862 crore, far less than what was publicly announced.

Vivekanand alleged that the Congress government was taking undue credit for investments that were secured during the previous BRS administration. He pointed out that of the Rs 40,232 crore claimed by the Congress government, Rs 12,400 crore was linked to the Adani Group, but this proposal had already been scrapped. Similarly, a company called Godi India, which was supposed to invest Rs 8,000 crore, ended up contributing just Rs 160 crore. He went on to describe Godi India as a shell company.

The BRS leader highlighted the efforts of their former IT Minister, KT Rama Rao, in securing investments during the BRS government’s tenure. Vivekanand cited examples such as Rs 9,000 crore from JSW (Jindal Steel Works), Rs 5,200 crore from Web Works, and Rs 300 crore out of a total Rs 1,270 crore investment. He claimed that these investments were a result of MoUs signed during the BRS administration, but the Congress government was now taking credit for them.

Furthermore, Vivekanand criticized the Congress government for canceling major projects like Pharma City, the Airport Metro, and Formula-E races. He argued that these decisions were causing significant financial losses to the state. The BRS leader called for more accountability and transparency in the Congress government’s investment policies and decisions.
