The BRS leaders and activists are preparing to celebrate the 71st birthday of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The celebrations will take place at the Telangana Bhavan, the party office, on Monday.
Led by MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, party members have planned various programmes for the occasion. Like every year, this year’s celebrations will be held on a grand scale. On Sunday, Yadav visited Telangana Bhavan to inspect the arrangements.
As part of the celebrations, a massive 71-kg cake will be cut to mark KCR’s 71st birthday. A special video song highlighting ten years of development in Telangana under KCR’s leadership will also be released. To showcase Telangana’s rich culture, there will be performances by drum artists, tribal dance performances, folk songs from the Telangana agitation, and depictions of Telangana traditions. Additionally, different types of Telangana cuisine will be featured.
The celebrations will begin at 10 AM. Several senior leaders, including party working president KT Rama Rao, former minister T Harish Rao, MLC K Kavitha, MLCs, MLAs, MPs, former MPs, corporators, and other party members, are expected to attend in large numbers.
Apart from cultural events, large-scale sapling plantations, food and fruit distribution, and special pujas and prayers will also be conducted. The birthday celebrations have already started in different parts of the state. Many farmers have been expressing their admiration for KCR by celebrating his birthday in unique ways.
