Telangana State Planning Board Vice Chairman B Vinod Kumar has stated that Akhilesh Yadav (SP) and Arvind Kejriwal (AAP) will not remain in the I.N.D.I.A alliance and will return to the pink party after the Assembly elections in Telangana. In an interview with The Hans India, Kumar discussed the party’s growth at the national level and said that the upcoming elections will shape future politics in the country. He also mentioned that the dominance of the Congress, which came after the Karnataka result, will decline. Kumar emphasized that the BRS maintains an equal distance from both the I.N.D.I.A and NDA alliances.

Kumar mentioned that after the State Assembly elections, the party’s activities will expand across the country. He stated that their focus is currently on the Assembly polls, but they will also target states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, where their schemes have influence. Kumar explained that their activities will increase as the Lok Sabha elections approach.

Addressing accusations of being affiliated with national parties, Kumar clarified that the BRS is not the B-team of either the BJP or the Congress. He asserted that they will not be part of these two parties.

When asked about the slow pace of inquiry by central agencies like ED, Kumar highlighted that although ED has interrogated Kavitha and Congress leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, none of them have been arrested. He questioned whether this means that the BJP has gone soft on the Congress.

Kumar indicated that no single party is likely to have a majority in the next LS elections, and therefore, BRS along with its allies will play an important role. He emphasized that progress, with a focus on farmers, is their main agenda for national politics.

The BRS believes that empowering farmers will empower society as a whole. They believe that if farmers are developed, every sector including manufacturing, wholesale, and service will also benefit. Kumar clarified that schemes like RythuBandhu, which provides money to farmers, are not freebies but investment support.

Regarding the understanding with AIMIM, Kumar clarified that there is a difference between a friendly party and an alliance. He mentioned that the BRS is contesting elections even in seats fought by the MIM, indicating that they have differences of opinion on many issues.
