BRS Files Complaint with DGP Regarding Alleged Attacks by Congressmen

Leaders of the BRS party in Telangana have lodged a complaint with the Telangana DGP (Director General of Police) regarding alleged attacks on their party members by Congress members. The leaders, including B Lingaiah Yadav, MLC L Ramana, former MLAs Saidi Reddy, Bhaskar Rao, and Bhongir ZP Chairman Sandeep Reddy, visited the DGP office and submitted a letter of complaint to DGP Ravi Gupta. They claimed that the police officials were biased in handling issues involving the ruling Congress and BRS, and were unfairly charging BRS leaders. They urged the DGP to instruct the officials to act professionally rather than favoring Congress leaders.

The complaint stems from an alleged attack on Bhongir’s ZP chairman Sandeep Reddy by Congress workers in the presence of Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. On January 29, both leaders got into a verbal argument after an event for the inauguration of the Gram Panchayat building in Guduru village. After the Minister spoke, Sandeep demanded answers about farm loan waivers. As he continued to demand answers, the Minister intervened and took the microphone from the ZP Chairman. The argument escalated, and the Minister called on party members to remove Sandeep from the stage. However, Sandeep refused, resulting in police and party workers forcibly removing him. The ZP chairman felt insulted by the incident.

The BRS leaders believed that this incident exemplified the biased treatment they were receiving from the police and urged the DGP to ensure that officials act impartially and professionally in all situations.
