BRS devises plans to improve JD(S) reputation in Karnataka

The BRS chief, K Chandrasekhar Rao, has been working with the JD(S) party in Karnataka to include some of the developmental programmes from Telangana in their party manifesto for the upcoming elections. The BRS believes that this will help the JD(S) win and also strengthen their popularity in other parts of the country. KCR has also been giving tips to Kumaraswamy on how to manage polls and gain voter support. KCR has asked the JD(S) to make arrangements for the BRS to campaign in certain Assembly segments that have a high number of Telugu voters.

KCR wants the JD(S) to highlight the success stories of the schemes and how they have helped beneficiaries. The schemes that have been included in the JD(S) manifesto are Rythu Bandhu, Aasara pensions, irrigation allocations, and a hike in salaries for Anganwadi employees. More schemes may be added to the final manifesto soon. KCR is working with JD(S) leaders to create a campaign strategy for BRS teams to campaign in areas with Telugu voters.

Although the BRS claims that the BJP will be defeated, there is a possibility of a fractured mandate, and JD(S) may become the kingmaker. At that time, the BRS will insist on incorporating these schemes into the common minimum programme, which could give them a new boost in Telangana elections in the next six months.
