BRS Leader Jagadish Reddy Criticizes Union Ministers and Congress Leaders

Hyderabad: BRS leader G Jagadish Reddy criticized two Union Ministers from Telangana, accusing them of not taking action against the Andhra Pradesh government for withdrawing water from Nagarjunasagar.

Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Jagadish Reddy said that while the Andhra Pradesh government was taking water from the Krishna River, the Telangana government was not doing enough to stop it. He also criticized Union Ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, stating that they should be ashamed for criticizing former Chief Minister KCR. He questioned why they were not speaking to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) officials to secure Telangana’s share of water.

Jagadish Reddy also attacked Telangana’s Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy for their remarks against KCR. He made harsh comments about Komatireddy, saying that he was not speaking sensibly. He also accused Uttam Kumar Reddy of using inappropriate language instead of answering questions raised by BRS leader Harish Rao.

Further, Jagadish Reddy blamed leaders like Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, and members of the Congress and BJP for Telangana not receiving its rightful share of water. He alleged that Congress leaders were focusing on politics rather than addressing the real issues affecting the state. He also criticized Revanth Reddy for becoming Chief Minister by making controversial remarks and questioned if Uttam Kumar Reddy was trying to do the same.

He reminded that the BRS had opposed the Pothireddypadu project during YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure. Jagadish Reddy challenged the Irrigation Minister to an open debate on the Sriram Sagar project. He urged the Ministers to stop blaming KCR and instead work towards securing Telangana’s rightful share of Krishna water.
