Dasoju Sravan, a national spokesperson for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, has responded to statements made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that Telangana is the gateway for the party to enter South India. Sravan stated that the BJP is daydreaming about penetrating South India because the region has rejected them. He added that the BJP does not understand the culture and traditions of South India and only knows how to provoke emotions instead of understanding aspirations and creating public policies that compliment the culture and traditions.
Sravan also accused the BJP of wanting to break the “Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb” in Telangana, which he described as a social ecosystem that promotes brotherhood between people of different religions. He said that Telangana will reject any attempt by the BJP to destroy this social ecosystem.
In response to Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Chief JP Nadda’s visit to the state, Sravan said that the BJP does not have competent leadership in Telangana and people are not willing to accept their narrative. He added that Telangana is not a ground for the BJP and they should try their luck in northern India instead.
Sravan praised Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s government and said that Telangana is a land of development, with the first paddy producer and number one state in terms of providing irrigation water. He added that Telangana’s welfare schemes have become role models for the rest of the country.
Sravan also criticized the BJP for using propaganda tactics, stating that the people of Telangana are smarter than the so-called leaders of BJP and propaganda tactics will not work in Telangana. He said that KCR is a strong and mighty leader who has done great work in the last nine years.
