The BRS leaders in Hyderabad have accused the Congress government of tapping their phones and having intelligence officials harass them. They claim that the officials are under the influence of defeated Congress candidates. The BRS leaders, including P Rajeshwar Reddy, B Suman, and Kyam Mallesh, held a press conference to express their concerns. They criticized the government for withdrawing security cover from former MLA’s in the Godavari River belt, stating that these former MLA’s have threat perception. They warned that if anything happens to them, it will be the government’s responsibility. The BRS leaders also alleged that the intelligence officials were targeting BRS institutions at the direction of the defeated Congress candidates. They reminded everyone that power is not permanent and criticized the ruling party leaders for attacking the opposition. They demanded that the Congress government release a white paper on the financial support given to farmers under Rythu Bandhu after coming into power. They questioned where the remaining money has gone and how many farmers have benefited from Rythu Bandhu.
Palla Rajeshwar Reddy responded to allegations made by Congress spokesperson Teenmar Mallanna regarding his wife’s job in the BRS government. He clarified that his wife, Palla Neelima, got a job as AE in the APSEB in 1992 when there was no BRS government. He mentioned that she had taken leave from 2016 to 2020 without pay and eventually took VRS in 2020. Currently, she is working as CEO of Anurag Educational institutions.
