BRS' '420 Promises' Booklet Criticized by Hyderabad Ministers

Hyderabad: Former minister K T Rama Rao’s release of the booklet ‘420 promises’ has angered ministers D Sridhar Babu and Seethakka. They strongly criticized the BRS leader’s actions, calling it a political move ahead of the Lok Sabha poll. They demanded a public apology from K T Rama Rao.

During a joint press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Sridhar Babu criticized the authoritarian behavior of the BRS leadership, even after losing in the Assembly poll. He believes that after being in power for almost a decade, they have become slaves to power and are unwilling to accept the changed realities.

Sridhar Babu pointed out that the BRS party took 3,500 days to install ministers, while the Congress has been in power for only 35 days. He believes that the release of the booklet indicates the conspiracies and propaganda being spread by the BRS party. He also mentioned that the government has already fulfilled two guarantees, including free travel for women in RTC buses and an increase in the Arogyasri limit.

The minister listed the unfulfilled promises of the BRS government and connected it to their loss in the polls. He questioned why the BRS leaders are unable to accept reality and behave as if Revanth has dethroned KCR, when it was the people’s mandate.

When asked about KTR’s tweet linking Congress with BJP, Sridhar Babu explained that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy prioritized bringing investments to Telangana and had met with representatives of the Adani group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He clarified that this has nothing to do with the proximity of BJP leadership with the Congress.

Seethakka emphasized the need for introspection within the BRS party after their poll defeat. She criticized their impulsive behavior and negative propaganda, suggesting that both the BJP and BRS are the same.

Overall, the ministers strongly condemned K T Rama Rao’s actions and demanded a public apology. They also highlighted the unfulfilled promises of the BRS government and criticized their behavior after the poll defeat.
