The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to release Rs.5,500 crore to pay the dues to Government Employees. Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana announced this after a three-hour-long discussion with various employees associations. The Government is considering expediting the report of the Pay-Revision Commission (PRC) to revise the salaries of the staff. However, the associations are asking for Interim Relief. Another round of discussions will happen soon.
The Government has directed officials to clear the dues up to Rs.5,500 crore by the end of next month. The leaders of the employee associations will explain how the dues will be distributed. The Government is committed to notifying the PRC recommendations before the election notification.
The State Government has already announced that Rs.50 lakh ex gratia and a government job will be given to one person from the family of the Mandal Revenue Officer who was murdered in Visakhapatnam.
