Hyderabad police received a bomb threat call on Tuesday targeting Praja Bhavan, where Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stays, and the city civil court in Nampally. The caller claimed that bombs had been placed in these locations.
The police, along with the bomb squad, quickly responded by cordoning off the areas and conducting thorough searches. While the threat at the city civil court was deemed fake after the search, the search at Praja Bhavan continued. Every corner of the house and vehicles used by the Deputy Chief Minister were meticulously searched, but no bombs were found yet.
Authorities are still investigating the validity of the bomb threat call and searching for the person who made the call to inform about the threat. Similar incidents of bomb threats have been reported in other parts of the country, including a recent incident at Delhi airport targeting an IndiGo flight to Varanasi.
The flight was evacuated and thoroughly checked in an isolation bay, but no suspicious items were found.
