MLA Opposes Tiger Corridor Proposal in Asifabad
Sirpur MLA Dr. Palwai Harish Babu has voiced strong opposition to the government’s proposal to establish a tiger corridor in the district. Addressing a public meeting held at the district center on Sunday, he demanded that the government withdraw the plan.
Dr. Harish Babu criticized the proposal, reportedly sent by M. Dobriyal, for including the Asifabad and Sirpur constituencies in the tiger corridor project. He stated that it is unfair to move forward with such plans without consulting the local people or their elected representatives.
The MLA warned that any attempt to impose the tiger corridor on the community would face resistance. He raised concerns about the potential displacement of villages, alleging that the relocation plans lack proper planning. He assured the public that the BJP would strongly oppose this policy if it continues.
Dr. Harish Babu concluded by urging the government to immediately withdraw the tiger corridor proposal and instead focus on addressing the problems caused by tigers in the region.
