BJP Announces Candidates for Graduate and Teachers MLC Elections
The BJP has surprised political circles by announcing its candidates for the upcoming Adilabad-Nizamabad-Karimnagar-Medak Graduate and Teachers MLC elections. This announcement has significantly intensified the election campaign in the region.
The party has chosen C Anji Reddy from Patancheruvu in Sangareddy district as its candidate for the Graduates MLC seat. For the Teachers MLC seat, the BJP has fielded Malka Komaraiah from Bandhampalli in Peddapalli district. Both candidates have notable backgrounds and accomplishments.
Anji Reddy, a BA Mathematics graduate and an industrialist, is known for his community service. Through his SR Trust, he has been providing drinking water to villages for the past 20 years. He has also been working to improve education for underprivileged students. His efforts have made him a respected figure in the region.
Malka Komaraiah, a BE Civil Engineering graduate from Osmania University, is an educationist. He founded the Delhi Public School in Hyderabad and runs Pallavi educational institutions in Peddapalli, Nirmal, and Hyderabad. Komaraiah had earlier sought the Malkajgiri MLA ticket but is now focused on the Teachers MLC race.
The BJP is optimistic about its chances, as it has a strong presence in the constituency with four MPs and seven MLAs. Both Anji Reddy and Komaraiah believe this support will boost their prospects in the election.
In Karimnagar, V Narender Reddy, the head of Alphores Educational Institutions, has been actively campaigning for the Graduates MLC seat for the past two months. The campaign in the four joint districts has been in full swing for six months.
Meanwhile, the ruling BRS is also gearing up for the contest with multiple aspirants. Dr. BN Rao, a former State president of the Indian Medical Association from Karimnagar, is eyeing a nomination. Former TRSMA chairman Yadagiri Shekhar Rao and ex-Karimnagar mayor Sardar Ravinder Singh, a close ally of Chief Minister KCR, are also in the fray. Additionally, Mustaf Ali, chairman of Laksh International Schools, has been campaigning extensively in the districts for the Graduates MLC seat over the past six months.
Other independent candidates have also entered the race. Prasanna Harikrishna, a former assistant professor and the founder of Winners Publication, has gained popularity among the youth and unemployed and is actively campaigning. V Jagapathi Rao, who contested as an MP in the last election, is also making another attempt.
From Nizamabad, Madanam Gangadhar, a former DSP in the police department, has joined the Graduate MLC contest. Gangadhar has been campaigning independently across four districts for the past two months, seeking to establish his presence in the election.
With multiple candidates and intensified campaigns, the upcoming MLC elections are shaping up to be a closely contested and high-stakes affair.
