BJP MLA Raja Singh has warned former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) not to target the police. His warning came after KTR stated that action would be taken against certain police officers once his party returns to power.
Raja Singh reminded KTR of past incidents when he was a minister. He pointed out that KTR had ordered the arrest of Revanth Reddy, who was an MP at that time. Revanth was taken from his bedroom and sent to jail. However, even after becoming the Chief Minister, Revanth did not take any action against the police officers involved in his arrest.
Singh also criticized KTR for saying that action would be taken against retired police officers. He advised KTR not to interfere with the police, as their duty is to follow the law, regardless of which party is in power.
Additionally, Singh spoke about the mistreatment of BJP workers by the police. He shared his own experience of being jailed under the PD Act. He claimed that some members of his own party had supported the police actions against him. Singh also expressed concern that even after the BJP came to power in Telangana, some officials were still planning to betray him. He questioned the loyalty of certain colleagues within his own party.
