BJP Leaders Request a Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Aija Mandal
A BJP delegation, led by Aija Mandal President Gopalakrishna, submitted a petition to the District Collector requesting the establishment of a Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Aija Mandal.
Speaking at the event, Jogulamba Gadwal District BJP President S. Ramachandra Reddy highlighted the need for more KVKs in every district. He explained that the Central Government is working to introduce new agricultural technologies and modern management practices to help farmers. As part of this initiative, 17 more KVKs are planned for Telangana, and the district BJP unit has proposed setting up one in Jogulamba Gadwal district.
The BJP delegation suggested that the KVK center be located near Aija Mandal. They proposed sites along the main road behind Nagar Doddi Dam, in the Bingi Doddi outskirts, or anywhere within Aija Mandal. Their proposal was based on key advantages, such as:
– Proximity to the Chennai-Surat Express Route, ensuring easy connectivity.
– The upcoming Mantralayam-Vanaparthi Highway, which will improve transportation.
– Availability of fertile land and water resources, essential for agricultural development.
Additional Requests in the Petition
Apart from the KVK, the BJP leaders also requested the administration to:
1. Establish a new, spacious Agricultural Office (AO) in Aija town with better facilities.
2. Set up an ADA (Assistant Director of Agriculture) office in Aija to improve accessibility for farmers.
3. Declare Dev Banda Hamlet in Eklaspuram as a new Gram Panchayat, considering its growing population and administrative needs.
