BJP calls for CBI investigation into phone tapping case

State BJP leaders in Hyderabad are focusing on the telephone tapping case and want a CBI probe into it. They are concerned that the state government has not taken action on this issue, unlike other scams. To keep the issue alive, the party organized a protest at Dharna Chowk.

During the protest, BJP Parliamentary Board Member Dr K Laxman questioned why Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was silent on the alleged involvement of former ministers K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao in the phone tapping case. Laxman demanded that the masterminds behind the probe be questioned and emphasized the need for a detailed CBI investigation.

Laxman accused the previous KCR government of illegally snooping on individuals without permission from the Centre and acquiring technologies for phone tapping from abroad. He called for those responsible to be punished for this serious crime.

Laxman also criticized Chief Minister Revanth for not following through on his promises made during the election campaign to hold leaders accountable for their wealth accumulation. He suggested that the Chief Minister may be compromising on important issues to stay in power.
